UFO CONFERENCE IN MASSACHUSETTS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12th, 2007 @ 7PM
Boston, Mass. – September 1, 2007 – The Mass UFO Show is pleased to announce an exciting program for its second annual rendition of New England's only UFO conference, to be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 12th, 2007 at the Hibernian Hall in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Building upon the debut event in 2006 (that featured a riveting 40th anniversary presentation by Stan Gordon, lead investigator of the Kecksburg, Pennsylvania UFO incident), the 2007 Mass UFO Show promises to host an exciting series of lectures, presentations and exhibits dedicated to Unidentified Flying Objects. Contrary to popular belief, UFO's are still being reported daily and lack a sufficient explanation.
The theme for this rendition of the Mass UFO Show is "Maritime UFOs" or "USOs", an acronym for "Unidentified Submersible Objects". Independent researcher Chris Styles will be speaking about the Shag Harbour UFO Crash. This will mark the 40th anniversary of this unexplained event that rocked a sleepy fishing village in Nova Scotia on the night of October 4th, 1967. Styles, who was 12 at the time and living in Halifax, clearly recalls receiving a telephone call from his grandfather (who was living in Shag Harbour at the time) that described the ensuing panic. He'll also comment on the little-known Shelburne incident that happened in tandem with the Shag Harbour case.
Author and researcher Don Ledger will be making a presentation about "Flying Black Triangles". Ledger, who co-authored a book entitled "Dark Object" with Styles about the Shag Harbour incident, will try to make sense of the ongoing "flap" of flying triangle reports. For over 25 years, there has been a global wave of sightings of flying black triangles. Some have even been seen in Massachusetts. Usually described as massive and silent, these craft began appearing in Belgium in the 1980's, and culminated in a spectacular formation that was witnessed by thousands over Phoenix, Arizona in 1997, subsequently dubbed the "Phoenix Lights". Some claim that they are "black" projects while others insist that they are alien in origin. Ledger's expertise in Maritime UFOs (title of his book) will dovetail nicely with the conference theme.
Crop Circles not only appear in grain fields in the United Kingdom, but mysteriously emerge overnight on farms around the globe. Widely regarded as a leading authority on this phenomena, Nancy Talbott, of BLT Research, has exhaustively studied these pictograms for decades. Some are blatant hoaxes whereas other crop circles defy a logical explanation. Nancy has traveled all over Europe and North America studying these anomalous formations and will present a spectacular slide show featuring these uncanny formations.
Recognized by his peers as the foremost authority on Unidentified Submarine Objects is Delaware native and veteran Carl Feindt. Carl has been investigating USOs for years and has compiled the most comprehensive website on the Internet entitled "Water UFOs". Unidentified Submerged Objects were first widely reported in the 19th century and continue to be seen today.
Sixty years ago, an unidentified flying object allegedly crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. Since that time, flying saucers have become a cottage industry for the dusty town of Roswell as they celebrate the event annually with parades, merchandise and a variety of pay-per-view alleged crash sites. Ten years ago, Mass UFO Show conference organizer John Horrigan attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Roswell event and videotaped the alleged witnesses at an amazing and controversial press conference. This video has never been aired and will be premiered for the first time to the public. This is an exclusive opportunity to hear the accounts of some of the key witnesses, as some have passed away since the video was produced back in 1997. The original 1947 ABC radio broadcast and newspapers of the day will also be reviewed.
Massachusetts has a long history of UFO sightings, dating back to 1639. A brief slide show about some prominent UFO reports in the Bay State will be presented and witnesses will be provided an opportunity to submit their sightings either publicly, confidentially or via the Internet. It is estimated the less than 1% of all UFO sightings are reported.
Back again as a co-host of the Mass UFO Show will be Matt Moniz. Matt has over 20 years experience investigating UFO phenomena and has had many other paranormal adventures. He has a "Forrest Gump"-type litany of involvement with historical UFO case investigations. As a chemist, he analyzed soil samples from the famed "Bentwaters Incident" and was acknowledged accordingly in the book “Left at East Gate” by Larry Warren and Peter Robbins. He will be bringing soil samples from that area where an alleged UFO landing took place 27 years ago. Matt was also featured in the popular books “Witnessed” by Budd Hopkins, and “Glimpses of Other Realities” by Linda Moulton Howe. Matt will be reporting live from the Mass UFO Show for the hit fortean radio show Spooky Southcoast that is hosted by Tim Weisberg and Matt Costa.
